Building Envelope Consultants are professional consultants who specialize in the exterior of buildings. They focus on keeping the “weather out and energy in” of a building. A building’s envelope includes all the systems that keep air, water, heat, light, and noise in or out of a building.Tom Gernetzke, Principal Building Envelope Consultant and Owner of Building Envelope Professionals Group, LLC
Building Envelope Professionals Group, LLC (BEPG) is a professional building envelope consulting firm. In short, our building envelope consultants focus on providing roofing, waterproofing, and exterior wall consulting services to owners of existing buildings and new construction project teams.
For example, BEPG’s building envelope consultants are routinely involved with complex building envelope assessment, diagnosis, and rehabilitation projects. Frequently, the rehabilitation projects exceed $2M in construction costs. In addition, BEPG has provided quality assurance, testing, and related building envelope quality services on new construction projects. New construction project costs often exceed $150M.
Furthermore, our building envelope consultants specialize in assembling and leading rehabilitation project teams. These experienced teams include all necessary professionals for the project. For example, architects, landscape architects, MEP engineers, structural engineers, indoor air quality / environmental consulting firms, cost estimators, and construction managers may all be part of the team.
While primarily practicing in the upper Midwest (Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, and Iowa), BEPG currently has contracts and agreements with clients covering all 50 states. BEPG routinely services government / municipal, institutional, schools, office, commercial/industrial, worship, historical, multi-family, and retail clients. Likewise, we also enjoy providing services to architectural firms, general contractors, and specialty contractor firms.
