City of Jefferson Police/Utilities Department Remedial Renovations

Building Envelope Professionals Group, LLC was selected and retained by the City of Jefferson to assess and diagnose multiple problems with the city’s Police and Utility Building. Known problems included poorly functioning HVAC systems, roof, wall, and window leaks, interior odor issues, and poor indoor air quality. After completion of the assessment and recommendations, BEPG was retained to lead the design team through design and construction of the remedial renovations.

The design team included a consulting architect, landscape architect, MEP engineer, indoor air quality and mold consultant, and civil engineer. General repairs include sub-slab moisture remediation, interior finishes remediation, concrete floor slab repairs, new floor finishes, HVAC system modifications, building envelope over-cladding, window replacement, and roofing replacement.

Building Envelope Professionals Group, LLC (BEPG) was commissioned by the City of Jefferson to tackle a myriad of issues plaguing the city’s Police and Utility Building, such as malfunctioning HVAC systems, leaks in the roof, walls, and windows, interior odors, and poor indoor air quality. Through a comprehensive assessment, BEPG identified the problems and developed recommendations for remedial renovations.

Leading a multidisciplinary design team that included experts from various fields, BEPG spearheaded efforts to address these challenges. The renovations encompassed extensive repairs such as sub-slab moisture remediation, concrete floor slab repairs, new interior finishes, modifications to HVAC systems, over-cladding of the building envelope, window replacements, and a new roofing system. These strategic interventions not only resolved the existing issues but also significantly extended the life and enhanced the functionality of the building, ensuring a healthier and more efficient environment for its occupants.
