CUNA Mutual Group Atrium Glazing Repairs

The atrium space within the CUNA Mutual Group (CMG) 5910 building is an employee-favorite central meeting and gathering area within the building. When persistent leakage shut down meeting areas below the large skylight assembly, CMG retained BEPG to assess the conditions, determine an effective solution, and provide construction administration services.

BEPG partnered with SuperSky Products Enterprises to develop a repair and modification strategy that utilized the existing system and insulated glass units while converting the system from a raised mullion configuration to a silicone-sealed joint system to improve water flow over the assembly and reduce leaks.

Atrium glazing modifications also required coordination and detailing to properly integrate with adjacent low-slope roofing, masonry, and sheet metal flashing systems.

Services Provided for Atrium Glazing Repairs:

  • Pre-Design Services
