Stone masonry elements on the UW Stout Administration building were beginning to dislodge from the building and were beginning to create a hazard to public safety if they were to fall from the building.
The Wisconsin Division of Facilities Development (DFD) selected BEPG to assess the conditions and determine an appropriate course of action for repairs while remaining within DFD project budget constraints.
BEPG successfully designed a repair solution that eliminated the need to replace all of the stone, modified existing through-wall flashings, and secured the existing stone units in place without requiring their removal. This strategy allowed the building to remain occupied during construction and kept the project within budget constraints.
